Soyuz Microphones — Modern Classics

Founded in 2013 by American musician David Arthur Brown and Russian entrepreneur Pavel Bazdyrev, Soyuz takes its name from the Russian word for union. True to that meaning, Soyuz unites Russian engineering and craftsmanship with Western design and quality control to create microphones unlike anything else available today.

At the heart of Soyuz is The Base, their factory in Tula, Russia. The workshop looks more like a 1960s microphone lab than a modern facility: manual lathes, analog test equipment, and master machinists in white coats. Every capsule is tuned by hand, every transformer is wound in-house, and every part is crafted under one roof. This commitment to traditional methods gives Soyuz microphones a warmth, depth, and character that modern computer-controlled manufacturing simply cannot replicate.

Soyuz doesn’t build clones — they build modern classics. From the bold 023 Bomblet, to the flagship 017 Tube and FET, to the detailed 013 Series, each microphone is designed to stand on its own, offering engineers and artists a unique voice that feels both timeless and new. Beyond microphones, Soyuz has also expanded their lineup with the Lakeside Preamp and the celebrated Launcher and Launcher Deluxe, giving musicians and producers more ways to bring the unmistakable Soyuz character into their recordings.

OMS Canada is proud to be the exclusive distributor of Soyuz Microphones in Canada.
